New York, NY—On Saturday, March 11, Woman Life Freedom NYC and local activists are hosting a protest at Foley Square, NYC, condemning the recent nationwide chemical attacks of schoolgirls in Iran, as well as all other forms of repression and violence by the Islamic Republic.

As the uprising in Iran enters its sixth month, girls’ schools have come under attack. In the newest form of brutality and state-sanctioned violence against the Iranian people, over a thousand schoolgirls have been hit by unknown chemical compounds leading to hospitalization of hundreds of students. It is believed by many that these attacks are carried out in retaliation for the courageous role schoolgirls have played in the ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ revolution.
Woman Life Freedom NYC is inviting activists and allies to join this protest on Saturday to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran who will not be intimidated and have their basic rights threatened. This protest is happening in tandem with an international weekend of action, where activists groups across the globe will host similar demonstrations in solidarity with Iranian people against this regime.
